The Networking Lunch – Wednesday 7th December
To enhance the experience of attending, TJ Awards 2016 will be offering a free networking lunch on Wednesday, December 7 from 11am to 3pm. This will be third of this type of post-dinner event where guests can chat to winners, other finalists, judges and sponsors and have the opportunity to learn a little more about the TJ Awards process and what makes a winning entry.
The venue is etc.venues One Drummond Gate, Victoria, London SW1V 2QQ and there will be plenty of refreshments on offer to help you recover from the previous night’s partying!
During the event we also offer some short learning sessions to give just a little ‘something’ more to take back with you at the end of the day. Here’s an outline of what’s on offer:
11.00 Welcome, coffee and networking
12.00 The Learner-Led Academy
Perry Timms, PTHR
Are we about to witness more L&D professionals ‘letting go’ of the reins for professional development in the workplace and instead, be more like community managers; cohort convenors and facilitative coaches? Should we let more learners set up their own academies and ventures where the L&D professional doesn't own it but gives it extra clout, credibility and content?
Perry will share some insights into how organisations are letting their learners drive the learning agenda and discuss the potential future for putting the learner at the epicentre of L&D.
12.30 Accelerating coaching – identifying motivational drives in coachees - Anne Thomas, Natural Superheroes
Anne Thomas’s performance coaching work is centred around realising people’s hidden natural talents. As such, she will be sharing a few insights into her corporate accelerated coaching system RC60™, revealing how to identify which of the nine motivational drives is present within your coachee and explaining why it is so valuable to know this information when coaching performance.
13.00 Lunch & Networking
14.15 Meeting of minds
Guy Bloom, Blue Sky Performance Improvement
14. 40 “What can you do now to make your current learning projects 2017 award winners?”
Chris Robinson, Boost Marketing.
Each year Chris Robinson provides a hugely popular, fun and interactive session involving Post Its, chocolate throwing and NO PowerPoint content. This year’s session will be an evolution of previous sessions with the sole purpose of acting on the feedback of awards judges in the room, to create a list of actions which, if implemented will dramatically improve your chances of an award win in 2017.
